The bees are collecting the pollen from the flowers. The microscopic fine single particles are formedto granules by adding small quantities of nectar, before being "glued" to the rear legs of the busy insect. This technique enables the bee to forward the pollen to the hive. The pollen is the main source of amino acids to the bees. In spring and summer they are able tocollect large quantities of pollen and the beekeepers has learned to harvest part of it.
